Is it my monitor or video card?

For about 5 days now, I've had this little line running horizontally across the middle of my screen. Its small, but noticeable. It's not a static line, either. It "jumps" up and down; I guess the best way to describe it is "wavering."

I don't have an extra monitor or video card to swap out to check what it is.
Does anyone have any idea how to troubleshoot this?

If any info needed, here it is:
Monitor: 5 year old (+/-) 17" ViewSonic CRT monitor
Vid Card: ATI Radeon X300 se; 256 MB/Mo HyperMemory; PCI express

Is that enough? If any more info needed, let me know.

i would have to say monitor as well.

a good quick test might be to change your screen resolution.
see if its there in all of them

Thanks for the advice. I thought it was my monitor as well. Turns out it was.
So I went out and finally bought at 19" widescreen flat panel.
