Remember, remember the fifth of November,
To se¶arate your com¶lete thoughts
I know of no reason
Why linebreaks between them
Should ever be forgot

It's November the Fifth, and I welcome you to celebrate the First Annual Customers Suck! ¶aragra¶h Day. You can celebrate by se¶arating your thoughts into organized ¶arts called ¶aragra¶hs. When the direction of your ¶ost changes significantly, hit the "Enter" or "Return" key twice to start a new section. As a general rule, a ¶aragra¶h should be about five to six sentences in length. This sim¶le ste¶ greatly im¶roves the readability of your ¶ost, making it much more likely that others will read it and res¶ond to you.

But Chuck Norris roundhouse-kicked my keyboard and broke the Enter key
Get a new keyboard. You can ¶robably find one for free from FreeCycle (http://www.freecycle.org). While you're at it, try to find a better excuse, too.

I never know when to start a new ¶aragra¶h
If you have trouble knowing when it's a¶¶ro¶riate, just create a new one after every five or six sentences. It may not be ¶erfect, but we will a¶¶reciate the effort.

Grow up and do the dishes like mommy told you to.

Happy CS¶D!

Paragraphs are Phriends, not Phoolish! I believe this concept is my number one "Reason for Editing:" If I look up and my glob o' thoughts takes up the whole edit window......

We are being reminded to divide our posts into paragraphs when they start to look like giant globs of text, in order to make them more readable. (That ¶ symbol replacing all the Ps is a proofreading mark used to indicate a new paragraph is needed.)

It all makes glorious sense now.

Great idea, GBM, I'm always one to use too many paragraphs, however...

You can never have too much of a good thing!

I'm chiming in to cheer this idea!!

I always feel bad, but if someone posts a big ol' gob o' thoughts, I'm probably not going to read it, as it hurts my eyes and brain. Yay for paragraphs!

I like paragraphs.

If I get to a post and see it's a big block o' text, I won't bother to read it. It gets kind of hard to determine where one thought ends and another begins.

I happen to agree there.

And, if anyone hasn't noticed over the years, I have this habit of breaking up thoughts into separate paragraphs. I'd rather make one sentence a paragraph in itself rather than run stuff together.;)

And right now I feel like I'm a few days late and a few dollars short 'cause I missed this holiday.

Get a new keyboard. You can ¶robably find one for free from FreeCycle (http://www.freecycle.org). While you're at it, try to find a better excuse, too.

That excuse is clearly BS, because the person using it was still typing at their keyboard. If Chuck Norris had roundhouse-kicked the keyboard, it would have been completely destroyed (not just one key), and the system unit severely damaged when it got pulled off the desk by the jerk on the cord (not even a wireless link is enough to block the force of a Chuck Norris kick).

Would someone translate this line for me?! I think it is I'm (something) and I think paragraphs suck(??) It's driving me crazy!

I also enjoy a nicely paragraphed post.

EDIT: Wait, is it I'm thirteen and I think paragraphs suck(?)?

Heh - let's make it a week!

I just want to add that I understand paragraphs, sentence structure, and grammar. But some of us who post from phones have aps that won't allow us to separate paragraphs.
