Yesterday, in addition to not feeling well, my back was once again giving me pain that feels like a thousand knifes going into it at once.
I was feeling a bit better today, although my back still hurt a bit. So, I went out with my husband to pick up some things (including my birthday cake which I was in no shape to eat let alone get yesterday). Anyway, twice I was smacked in the back, by accident, by heavy packages by two different women.
I couldn't very well yell at them, since it was an accident and they had no idea I was already in pain.
Anyway, the pain came back with a venegence. My husband had to help me to the car because I was near tears from the pain.
The good news is that after taking some heavy duty pain medication and my two youngest children walking on my back the pain went away.
Why is it when you're in pain that is the spot that gets smacked?

I know what you mean. It seems that everytime I have surgery or an illness, my karate instructor manages to (accidentally) nail me with a foot, a fist, or a flying object right in the spot that was healing or in pain. Must be one of those things, like Murphy's law :D:cry:

I don't know, but it seemed like right after I got my tattoo, and the area was still raw, sore, and bloody, everyone was smacking me on that spot, even people who had no idea I had just gotten it done.

Murphy's Law. Plain and simple.
Senior year of high school, I had a mole removed from by back. Doc said just don't scratch or hit it and I wouldn't get a scar or anything. Some stupid girl in gym class the next day slapped me on the back, directly where I had the mole removed. I now have a scar.

Ironic how getting hit makes it hurt and getting walked on makes it better...
My 6' tall friend in college used to have our 5' tall friend walk on her back...

Same thing happened to me. I had gotten one on my lower back that had hurt like the dickens. I went to the bar with my friends the night after I got it and four differently people ending up whacking me in that exact spot. 3 by accident and one drunken bimbette who thought she was being cute.

I've went through that many a day . . and why the Hell is it that people seem to flock to that one side where you're in pain anyway????
I recall vividly almost physically going after one guy who did that slap on the back - I was almost in tears with pain and inflammation anyway and when he did that, I let loose a string of swear words and also went off on the cop who was by the doors for not stopping the guy from touching me. :pissed:
And the jerk insisted I knew him. I didn't recall seeing him before and even if I had, what right did he have to even touch my person?
And people wonder why I look mean these days . . . it's on purpose so morons won't be so inclined to put their hands on me. Not to mention the fact that I'm once again encountering problems with the shoulders and neck . . .
No, I don't expect people to be psychic and know when I'm not feeling well. But I do expect some sort of respect for my person. It's not too much to ask for one to not put their hands on me if I don't wish it.:help:

Sometimes, I will have back spasms. And when I do, that is the time when everyone and their mom's bump into my back, if I am out somewhere.
