I bought a new hp thin client and the software that it came with is only for Windows home server and i only have win. Xp pro. I was wondering it any one knew how to set it up for free (any ideas will be tried)
I will also need some one to tell me step by step.

Interesting - I'm currently reading a book on Terminal Servers.
For Thin clients, the processing is done @ the server end. You will need a Windows 2003 Server w/ Terminal Services installed to do this.
Windows XP Pro can do a minimal amount of TS - you can use Remote Desktop Processing (RDP) but that is a whittled down version of TS.
I see online there is an ltsp.org , Linux thin client project - which looks to be a Terminal Server package that can talk to a Linux or Win server..
This may help you here:

It looks like you will need a server to host the TS, period.
You could also try VM Ware, and host a W2K3 server virutally on your XP box (I'm doing that right now - beware of ram suckage! - but I have not tried setting up the TS part of it.)
What all were you thinking of doing with the TC?

I think for something like that, since you don't currently have the step to support it, you'll need to go to a pure tech message board for help. I think that might be out of the scope of our experience.
