I got home from work this evening (well, technically last night; decided to skip the gym), and as I was scrounging for something resembling dinner I started to feel not so good. I ended up just having some cereal and toast. While I was brushing my teeth (at 8:45pm) I threw up a little (ick - if you have a sensitive gag reflex and are already feeling slightly nauseated, I don't recommend brushing your tongue). I got in bed with my computer to watch House and then turned out the lights a little after 10. About 10:45ish I got up and :puke:ed in the bathroom sink (that's as far as I got). Then I had to get the drain plug out because it wouldn't drain. It appeared that most of my lunch was in there (including the cauliflower from my salad). I've been in and out of sleep since then, and at 3:30ish I got up and :puke:ed some more.:cry: At least I made it to the toilet this time. Then I freaked out a bit until I remembered I had strawberry Special K cereal for dinner. :o Now it is 4:29am and I don't see myself getting to sleep anytime soon, so I decided to come here. I also emailed my boss to tell him I won't be in, since with any luck I will be sleeping when he normally gets in and I don't want to wake up just to call him. I feel kinda bad though cuz it's a busy week (though not as bad as the last 2 days) and the other guy in the deparment is going to be in NYC for half the day (there's only 4 of us total).

I think maybe it was the chicken strips at lunch....

I wish I had some apple juice, or ginger ale...I don't think cranberry juice will sit well. But grape Propel doesn't seem to be a problem...I want my mommy!!!!!:cry::cry: Thank dog for 7-11s right across the street.

I hope you feel better soon. It sucks to be sick. That sink part did kind of gross me out, but I have stories that are just as gross. :(

Yeah, I had to use a big ziplock bag as a glove...

I feel a little better but I'm afraid to eat today. I went to 7-11 and got some ginger ale, saltines, and gatorade. My mommy's coming over after her dentist appointment and bringing me some dinner. And apple juice.

luckily I have a stomach like a concrete mixer so that kind of stuff doesn;t bother me, hope you feel better soon, I would offer chocolates and wine to make you feel better but I dont think that would be appropriate right now...

Flowers to make you feel better (I do rather hope you don't get hay fever)?

Turns out my fear of eating was well-founded :( Two tiny sips of soup and a bit of carrot down the drain.

I also have a fever of 102. :pissed:

But my mommy is here!

Not sure if I should just call out for tomorrow or wait till morning...

You won't be in any fit state to work tomorrow, take the day sick and try and relax.

Oi. Do I know how that feels like. I too, am one of those victims who sometimes never make it to the toilet. I've got an advantage though. I have a tube that injects medicine and formula directly into my stomach. If I feel really sick, I pop open the tube, connect it to a bag, and drain my stomach contents so that I at least have one less problem to worry about. Of course, you can't do this. I sometimes found that a nice warm heating pad placed on top of the stomach helps too. Don't burn the skin.

Damn, that would have been a nice thing to be able to do last night...I felt like I had a block of concrete siting in my belly...

I had an apple (no skin) a little while ago and that seems to be going well, so yay. Other than that I have had 1 saltine, half a glass of orange Gatorade, and 3 glasses of ginger ale today. And 2 Tylenols. I don't feel so feverish, now, but I haven't checked my temp since shortly before my last post.

I just hope I can sleep tonight...

I'm assuming tylenol is antipyretic (sp?) hence why you're feeling slightly cooler.

even if you sleep well tonight you'll still be whacked tomorrow so I will now at this point redirect you to my earlier post.

Yes, Tylenol treats a fever. :)

Well my boss'll be gone now so I'll have to wait until morning, anyway..
