I'm starting to hate Thursdays.
Really.
Why? For some reason, the water in the shower always goes COLD three minutes after I turn it on. It sucks.
And that only happens on Thursdays.
My latest bad habit--well, it might not be bad to most people, but...
I now sleep in until 9 or 10 on my days off. I used to wake up at my usual time (8 am at the latest) and take a nap later if needed.
Now I crawl out of bed later, and it puts my whole day out of whack. And I still need naptime.

Yeah, I'm like that too. With my new shift (7:30 am - 4:30 pm), I end up waking up at 5:30 am on days I work. On days I have off, I tend to sleep in which, ironically, causes me to not only be tired throughout the day, but more tempted to go to sleep earlier. I don't get it. Bonus: I used to work third shift and was able to get by with 4 hours of sleep whenever. Baffling.

According to the medical field . . .it is better for your body if you are able to keep the same sleep routine across the board.
In other words it is better for you to wake up at the same time everyday. That does not mean that you have to jump out of bed on your days off. Slow down and enjoy that morning cup of tasty beverage.
Too much sleep will throw you off just like too little will.
Also, keep naps to 20 min or less. Any longer and you risk too deep of sleep that gets cut short and therefore is not restorative.
I am not a Dr. I just have been having a lot of conversations about sleep and sleep patterns with them lately.
If your Dr. tells you to do something in reverse of what I have stated, by all means do what your Dr tells you.

Hmm...this morning my water kept going between scalding hot and ice cold...
And last Saturday I didn't get out of bed until almost 5pm. Seriously. And I set my alarm for 10:30am. I know it's horrible, and I always have the best of intentions to get up at a reasonable hour, but when it rolls around I just can't seem to do it. And the whole time I was hitting the snooze button every 9 minutes. I don't sleep enough during the week which I know is part of the problem, but seriously, it's ridiculous! (For the record, I don't usually sleep quite that late.)
