Has anyone else watched much of this series? I have been renting the episodes from some of my favorite directors but am thinking about branching out to directors I'm not familiar with. Does anyone know any especially good episodes I should watch?

If you don't know, Masters of Horror is an HBO series of 1-hour episodes, each directed by a famous (or sometimes not-so-famous) horror director. I have seen eps from Dario Argento ("Pelts"), John Carpenter ("Pro-Life") and I just finished Takashi Miike's "Imprint" (probably the best of the three). I am a big horror buff but it's hard to find good horror movies; these short films are the best horror I've seen in a while. All recommendations are welcome! :D

I agree with you with this series being better than most horror flicks being made now. As far as weirdness goes, nothing in the Masters of Horror series can compare to Imprint.

Family was a pretty good one, with Norm from Cheers playing a psycho.

We All Scream for Ice Cream is pretty good as killer clown movies go.

Haeckel's Tale is a pretty weird zombie flick, certainly not one of the standard issue zombie movies that are so common these days.

Dreams in the Witch House is OK, it's probably one of the better adaptations of a Lovecraft story out there.
