Why does this happen to every movie I see and enjoy? Every movie I seem to like, everyone else seems to hate.......I guess I'm an odd duck.

I went to see The Other Boleyn Girl last night. I thought it was great. I don't really think Natalie Portman was the best choice for Ann Boleyn, but nonetheless, I thought Eric Bana was a perfect choice for the King. If only they'd drug the film out longer to the point where King Henry starts to lose his sex appeal...

I thought everything was pretty appropriate for the movie...the dialogue and the costumes and props seemed to go along with the times.....

Like I said, I'm an odd duck. My friend didn't care for the movie, and I'm currently reading some less than satisfactory reviews online about the film.

Anyone else seen it yet? I think it just started last night, as it was only playing at one out of the four local theaters we have.

I do the opposite.
A movie that everyone loves, I hate.
Beowulf, for example.

Then again I am the nerd who knows the proper construction of that exact time period's clothing. and has done it by hand many times. meh.

I'm sure I'll see it at some point, but I just know the movie's going to piss me off to no end.

Hell, the "facts" in the book alone made me angry...I can only imagine how things were changed for the movie.

But if you like it, good for you!!!
