She's supposed to be at the school that I happen to be working at! She's supposed to do a presentation in the school gym at 5:45. My wife and mother-in-law want me to save seats but they say it's "First Come First Serve". I doubt if I can even save them seats because I got tutoring duty til 3:50. This is gonna be interesting today. I'll post some pics of it later if the Secret Service will let me. ;)

about a month ago,i met my mom and grandmother at a neraby McDonalds, so my grandmother could give my son his birthday present. next door to the McDonalds, is a VERY popular restruant. we noticed that ALOT of people were going to the restruant, about ten times the normal. but since our city elections for the Mayor is coming up, i figured it was for that.
a few minutes after we got there, we saw cops, and a firetruck, and two ambulances pull up. so now im thinking that something happened. plus the manager of the McDonalds kept on his phone, and looking out the door.
then a bus pulls up there. at this point, we are extremely confused.
it was Hilary Clinton....I wish i had knew before hand, cause instead of going to McDonalds, i would have gone there!

I'd run and hide. That woman scares me.
FWIW I don't like Hillary, I don't like Obama, I don't like McCain....

I just want to remind everyone not to turn this thread into a political argument. Someone started a thread about meeting Barak Obama not too long ago, and I had to step in on that one.
Remember, we have another board for political discussions.

IF I wanna see Hillary "The Dragon Lady" Clinton then I'll go to the video store & rent a monster movie...lol.
Hillary was coming to my neck of the woods the week after Obama came, but she canceled at the last minute.
We have yet to hear if she'll ever reschedule. She did send an apology. So no, she's not a cold dragon lady.

Yes, my first thought was "RUN!" as well.
That being said, I too will pay you $10 to hold up an obnoxious sign. $10 Canadian. If you held onto it for a year or so you'd probably rake it on the exchange rate. :D

I wouldn't mind the chance to see her in public, if only out of curiosity. I'm lukewarm about her myself.
Barack Obama I would definitely like to see though.

Damn, I just read there over 4 THOUSAND people that lined up for this shindig! As for me, since I already work at the school as a permanent sub, we all got to hang out in the school cafeteria and eat pizza and Subway subs. The Secret Service even stopped by and ate with us. Massive presence of city police and deputies, but everything was pretty laid back and everyone was cool, calm and professional. Our group got to be the first to go through the metal detectors and then herded to the stands. Then the other people got to go in. Hillary didnt show up until quarter after 8, and there some people that didnt get let in because there were too many. I left after about her speaking for 20 minutes because there was no way in hell I was gonna deal with the traffic getting out of there.
Here's the local newspaper link to it along with video footage if anyone's interested...

Hillary and Obama both campaigned heavily in Austin. Chelsea made an appearance at one campus, Bill appeared at another campus of my school. I hid out at home, about 40 miles away from the chaos!
