...is so damn easy, but can they always walk the walk?

If you guys are already sick of reading about my car problems, please skip, because they are still far from over and I'm still irate and bitching.

I was supposed to have my car back yesterday. More severe engine damage was discovered, so the mechanic found me a used head and needed it milled by the machinist before they could put it on and be done with it. They were supposed to get it back yesterday morning. They didn't. Didn't even ear from the machinist.

I was looking forward to it. I am SO disappointed right now at everything going wrong...more bad news after more when it comes to that damn car!

Mom of course says "In these situations, you make the best of it. A mature adult would take this in stride and not get upset and would make sacrifices and plan around inconveniences like this...." blah blah blah...ongoing preaching and telling me how selfish and demanding and immature and what a bad example of an adult I am and how I really need to grow up....like ALWAYS.....

Of course, when things happen that inconvenience my mother, she becomes an entitlement whore, the first to scream that she's been "gypped" when things continue to go wrong, will throw a royal fit and will call ANYONE who will not go out of their way to help her selfish and rude and how DARE no one help her.

Anyone else have any stories of people who talk big talk but can't walk the walk?

:pissed:A real adult f:censored:k that!!!!!!!!!!! Every adult I knows rants and raves or does what ever they do to deal and then they deal. And your doing a great job of dealing all you really have done is rant to us and trust me thats a heathy way to get through this. I would be in a puddle of tears the whole time! It will be ok! Fickle fickle car gods! I know its your mom and you love her but let all the roll off your back. She needs to understand that you are your own person and that your going to react to things in your own way. Good luck on the car hon i say we all get together and sacrafice a 56 chevey to the car gods. Maybe that will apease them into letting your car live.

I currently have no (working) car. Your ranting is perfectly justifiable. ;)
