For years now I have been wanting to go back to college and finish my degree. I decided to apply for financial aid before I reapplied to our local college. I got my financial aid. Now all I have to do is reapply to the college and I will be returning to school in the fall.

Great move! I did that a few years ago, and became a 42-year old freshman. I'm approaching year 3 and am still considered a freshman because I'm only taking 2 or 3 classes at a time, just enough to be counted half-time and qualify for loans.
Best of luck. It can be very rewarding, just making the effort.

My oldest daughter is starting her Freshman year in college this fall. My Mom, at 65 has two classes to go to finish her degree. Mom is going to take astronomy with me and algebra with my daughter. I only will have about ten classes to go.

Congrats!! It's never too late to go (back) to school!
As a teacher, I prefer older students who are coming back after a hiatus!
You can do it!!

Congrats :)
I agree with the others when they say its never too late to go back. I find being older and possibly wiser (the jury is still out on the wiser part for me) makes it much easier to stick with going to school. Especially when its your own money paying for it :p
