ooomph.
Another story from my stint at WM. I was in Electronics as the cashier. an woman comes up with a Target ad. Insanity ensues.
TAW: Target, Ad woman
Me: Hi there
CC: Cool Customer

TAW: Hey! Price Match this. <She is holding a Disney Princess movie.>
Me: Okay.
TAW: Well, DO IT!!!!! I AIN'T GOT ALL DAY!!!!(note she hasn't given me the movie so I can scan it yet.)
Me: Ma'am i need...
TAG: Goddamn it! DO IT!!!!! NOW!! YOU WORTHLESS INBRED HICK!!!!
Me: But, I..
TAG: SHUT UP!!! F-CKFACE, DO YOU WANNA RUIN A LITTLE GIRL"S BIRTHDAY YOU CORRPERATE SLAVE-MONKEY!!!
ME: I need the DVD to scan.
TAG: YOU ARE JUST TRYING TO STEAL MY IDENTITY. I"LL REPORT YOU TO DATELINE!!! I HOPE YOU DIE!!!!
Me: ...
TAG: WHAT'S THE MATTER F-CKHEAD!!! DO THIS!!! DO IT!! Or I"LL MOW YOU DOWN IN THE PARKING LOT!!!! Won't be a loss. There wil always be a another drone , to take your place. YOU are not worth anything!!!
CC: Are you threatening him?
TAG: Butt out!!!
CC: No. He told you he needs the movie, and instead of being an adult and doing it you act like a sniveling, ill-tempered child. Then you threaten his life, i will not butt out when i see this happen. It's a crime that people like you believe that those serving you are not people, they are worthy of your respect.
TAG: He's getting paid, He desn't have to be respected!!! I am the one who needs respect I am the customer and I am always right.
CC: No, you are not right, and after this display of attitude you'll get no respect from me.
TAG: Y'all are just jealous of me!!! Your both worthless shit and I am better than you!!! <throws DVD across department> . Ha!!! I'll have you on the street!!!I'll get $10,000 in giftcards, i am a single mom!!!!
<exeunt TAG>
Me: Thanks
CC:No problem. Good god, what a wacko. BTW if she does call management tell them to call me and I'll tell them you did nothing wrong.
I do his purchase and he give me his card. He's an attorney, by the way.

I like the attorney guy. Yes.
Yes indeed. We need more people like him in this world, willing to stand up for what is right and cut asshats down to size. :yourock:

I hate all customers who aren't like this guy, who stand by passively and watch an SC get away with shit.

They're as worthless as the SC.

Kudos to this guy.

At the point she threatened to kill you I'd have asked her to remain put and called the cops. What a nutcase.

Utterance of death threats... report em to management and press charges. That nut has to be removed from the populace.

O_o It sounds like to me she wasn't even there to buy the damned DVD, just there to make a scene. She was probably expecting you not to match the price, when ya did, she went with plan B.

Also, kudos to CC, against the massive of SCs its nice to know we have allies.

Gotta love the REAL lawyers :D

Sometimes, they almost act human ;)

pwned

we need more lawyers like him

I probably would have started laughing hysterically, then when I was able to stop I would have called an assistant manager and told the customer I had to have a manager's approval to do the override to get them to stick around long enough to be told to f*** off by management. I would have probably pressed charges too

They do. There's no shortage of obnoxious bullshit artists in the world.

Thank Goodness for the cool customer, goodness knows how management would handle it.

Yesterday this customer went off on me in front of another customer, so the other customer said "I'm sorry you have to go through this."
Then the customer who went off on me apologized latter that day.
Sometimes it's just nice that someone sees what's going on and try to cheer you up or sympathize with you.

Though I hate those customers who butt in and take the SC's side. There are way too many of those people.

I am the one who needs respect I am the customer and I am always right.

I've always loved Dogberts rules

"Dogbert: There are two essential rules to management. One, the customer is always right; and two, they must be punished for their arrogance."

People do not really act like this.

Sadly, they do. Somehow they think acting like a 2 year old will get them what they want. We had a lady almost lie on the floor and scream when we asked for her ID for cigs. Never got them.

That comment on $10,000 in gift cards, and being a single mom:
Is that what she accepts for her "services"?

The sheer idiocy and SCness of what that woman said has caused my brain to temporarily shut down. I am running on reserve power at the moment.

Maybe she turned into some kind of crazy old bat from hell after she got impregnated ... ?

No, don't tell me. I truly don't want to know. Neither should you.

i am a single mom!!!!
is anyone surprised? who'd want to stay with her if that's how she acts?

i feel bad for her daughter... being raised by someone with the same maturity level can't be easy.

and i agree. after the "mow you down" comment... phone call to the cops.
i think a few hours behind bars might cool her temper... or at least give her a wake up call

Well, a jewlery associate called LP, and LP called the cops, but by the time the police got there. She was gone. They did relay her plates to the state PD however, and they picked her up. She had SEVEN outstanding warrants from VA and MD, one was for assault w/ a deadly weapon. So yeah, that gives you a mindsey of her rationale. I'm wanted in two states, I'm gonna go issue death threats where people can hear me, and then be surprised when I'm pulled over by the law.
