Do you understand...do you know what I mean?

This is a big pet peeve of mine about some customers. Those customers who keep saying. "do you understand?" "do you know what i mean?" every time they finish a sentence. it drives me crazy cause why say it when i UNDERSTAND PLAIN ENGLISH!

Anyone else have those pet peeves?

I loathe the "do you know what I mean ?", and I actually say it. Or "does that make sense ?".

My father does it a lot, it always drove me mad but somehow I picked it up anyway.

I say "does that make sense" a lot. I think it's a subconscious thing to ensure the customers who's heads I'm going over don't think that I'm doing it on purpose.

Or something. :)
