im having a baby boy!!!! i had an ultrasound today, and with extreme clarity, it is a boy. im so excited. i did want a baby girl first, but after looking at baby boy clothes, im estatic. hes extremely active. the doctor kept trying to take pictures, but he kept moving around. which didn't help me much.....im sure a few of you know what i mean. i was practically begging him to lay still for a few minutes.

hes also VERY stubborn already. the doctor kept pressing my stomach to get him to move, and he wouldn't budge. only when he felt like moving did he move, and it was never in the right direction or right body part. at first, his little arm was covering his little face, and when he moved his arm, his head was pointing downwards. so he moves his head a litte....a little bit farther down.

it was the best thing i have ever seen. i have five pictures. my fave is a side profile of him. it is soooo cute! i have to buy a frame for it. my mom picked out one of his head, and you can see just above his head, is one of his fists.

the doctor says that EVERYTHING is going great. everything about the baby looks fine, hes right where he should be, his heart looks great, and he weighs ten ounces. so tiny so far. iwent and looked at baby clothes tonight. i couldn't stop smiling. i saw some of the cutest little baby clothes! i can't wait to spoil him! but only until he grows old enough to understand its not going always be like that. i don't want to raise an SC.

ok, im going to go look at baby names! ill let you know when we pick one out!

p.s. anybody have a baby boy smiley?

Aw, congrats! I didn't realise they could be so stubborn so far before they're born!

"... and with extreme clarity, it is a boy..." ... and WHAT a boy!!!

My daughter was like that when I was having ultrasounds (I had to get several due to a blood compatibility issue--they had to make sure everything was ok often). She would either move around too much for them to get a good measurement or she wouldn't move at all. I absolutely loved the ultrasounds. I looked forward to each of them.

Now she's almost 10 months old and is almost walking. The time has gone by so fast! Enjoy being pregnant and enjoy him while he's a baby because it flies by so fast!

:grats: I am so happy for you! May you have a healthy, happy, intelligent little boy! (You'll have to learn to change diapers at lightspeed; it is true what they say about boys!)

Boy, did your post bring back some deja vu for me! I remember the ultrasound for my pregnancy. It was very obvious mine was a boy, too! My favorite ultrasound pics were a great facial profile shot and a perfect shot of the bottom of his right foot.

And he was active, too! Wouldn't hold still for the ultrasound. And throughout the pregnancy, he used to kick in perfect rhythm to the music on the car radio (he seemed especially fond of Aerosmith!).

My sister is pregnant right now, and her baby girl keeps doing the same thing your son is doing... her favorite thing to do to the doctor is move to the other side when the doctor is trying to listen to her heartbeat.

Like the others have said, cherish every moment because it goes by so fast... I can't believe my little guy is 4 months old already... and he has a tooth now.

Good luck with picking out a name... I had an easy time picking out my son's first name, it was his middle name that gave me a huge problem.

Aww congrats!!

My friend had a baby boy, and the little stinker while still inside, gave the ultrasound tech the bird...with both hands.

Little guy had attitude even before being born! what a cute little guy he's turned out to be.

I remember he had a pair of lungs that scared ME...the Loud Adult. Oi.

:grats: Congrats!

At least you and the others who have posted found out what they were having during the ultrasound process. Not me. My daughter's legs were firmly crossed while in utero when we tried to find out if I was having a boy or a girl. We had to wait until she was born to find out if she was a "Connor" or a "Kelly".
