I downloaded it from D2D, got to the Tribal stage, but am somewhat reluctant to continue based upon what I'm hearing about the Space stage - that it's buggy and has several annoying things like a high degree of micromanagement and constant invasions and attacks from other space civs. :(

To cover the micromanagement aspect:

The normal keeps the event things (which is the micromanagement) from occurring between 1.5 hours to 4 hours between events. The extreme puts it at a hundred hours.

As a note, you need these events to get badges, so if You're on a badge hunt, the best bet is to get a few systems under your belt and earn the badges while your small. Then kick in one of the reducers and expand.

Oh I am absolutely in love with that game... in fact I'll probably do a quick civ state before work...and maybe even bring it in to work with me and see if I can't get it to work on my laptop (yay for universal discs)

I just got it today, made it to the space stage but it's telling me to return to my home planet, I did and nothing is happening. The communication button won't work.

I think I have a bug.

Yeah, I got that too. If you have a save in the civ stage, you can reload from there and it should work.:)

I didn't save it at all, except at the very end. Maybe there was an auto-save?

Haven't had a problem with Spore except for a minor bug but that was more to do with my puter needing a reboot than Spore itself.

Oh yeah, my Spore name is smileyeagle1021 (big shock)... oh and if you run into a creature called "badass" or a monster "epic badass"... I am SOOO sorry. I was screwing around on creature creator to see just how good of a predator I could create... yeah, I've been killed in the creature stage quite a few times by my own creation... if it ends up being one that randomly loads off of sporepedia into your game... best of luck :)

:cry::cry::cry::cry: nooooooo I THOUGHT I had got the full game! But I was scammed! It was only the creature creatore :cry::cry: so now I'm able to make funkey creatures (which I have made heaps of) but I can't play the full game and evolve and do all the other fun stuff!

Back to ebay it seams! I'll be on there soon enough! GAH! I hate when this happens!

Got Spore. Got as far as the Space stage within 6 hours of playing, and promptly lost interest... :rolleyes:
