I just had an amusing thing happen...
Today and tomorrow is 'Fall Break' - two days off mid-semester. Why they do this, I'm not sure - if it's to give a break more in the middle of the semester or if it's a way to justify not giving the whole week for Thanksgiving...for whatever reason, I'm really happy because I got to lay around in my pj's until noon and watch morning TV. :D
I decided that to fully embrace the 'break' I should order a pizza, because who wants to cook? I call my favorite place (the one with "better ingredients") and they have their specialty pizzas on, um, special. $12.99. So, I order a veggie for carryout and they tell me 15 minutes. I had some other stuff to do before I left (like drying my hair), so I get there about 20 minutes after I made the call.
A guy approaches the counter....
Guy: Um, did you have the carry-out?
Me: Yeah
Guy: Um, about, that...well, erm, you see (other coworker approaches) SHE dropped it.
Girl: :rolleyes: I am so sorry, but I tripped and it fell on the ground, we made a new one, it'll be ready in two minutes.
Me: No, biggie.
So, I pay for the pizza. The two employees apologize several times, and continually jab at each other in a teasing manner that had me :lol: It takes a few more minutes for the pizza to come out, the guy puts it in the box, hands it to me and.....
Guy: Um, do you want any extra sauce or cheese or red pepper?
Me: Nope! (Good pizza doesn't need extras!)
Guy: Well, um, I gave you extra garlic sauce and pepperoncinis, cuz, you know, it was, um, our fault-
Me: Hey, man, it's cool. Shit happens, y'know?
He indeed gave me two packets of garlic stuff and 3 pepperoncinis. :lol: I guess they were expecting me to blow up over it, but really...the whole thing just amused me.
Now I really need to get caught up on school work..or take a nap. I'm not sure...
