I need a little help. I'm going to fly down to Birmingham, AL out of Hartford, CT and I am trying to find the cheapest flight on down and back with allowing me to spend the max. time down there.

I dont need a hotel or a rental car, as lodging and transportation will be provided.

Anyone wanna help a guy out?

-edit- ACK! I am going down December 26th and returning the 28th

Try cheaptickets (http://www.cheaptickets.com). I've had good experience there. Lets you search a range of dates and gives you all kinds of different airlines.

What I do is use that as my jump off point and then go to the ACTUAL airlines to get the ticket I need.

You could also try priceline if you aren't specific on time when you travel / airline you are on.

Good luck, btw!

Ok.. I decided to take persephone's suggestion (and my friend's dads suggestion) and go down New Years Eve day and return on the 4th.

Actually, in my experiance, it's a hell of a lot cheaper to fly directly with the airline rather then going through a discount website.

Scary, I know.

Also, take me with you! I have a friend in Connecticut that I'd like to finally meet! (after... 7 years)

Delta has it for a few bucks cheaper which I will do... hey. a few bucks is a few bucks!

Oh! if you really want in on that.. get a ticket going from Brimingham to Hartford ;-)

Kayak.com is what was recommended to me when I was thinking about flying down to Texas to see a friend of mine. Her mom suddenly booked me a train ticket so I didn't actually end up using them, but they looked good.
