She's about 8 weeks old (will find out for sure tomorrow, I forgot to ask today) and already exploring here. Totally fascinated by my fingers on my laptop right now! Into everything, has some sass and purrs like a motorboat. A little more yellow/orange to her than the photos show, and she's got circle/targets on her sides and then a few orange stripes that run neck-tail on her back.
Big "sister" Lilly isn't too pleased, to put it mildly. It's going to be a long week or two. I got a Feliway defuser - I've heard many good things about it, so it better work considering the price tag! The munchkin currently will be in a rabbit cage when I'm not supervising so they can smell each other but she's not physically in any danger. Which my legs currently are in, considering the tiny needle-like claws and teeth she has!
So anyway, she needs a name. I was hoping for a little boy to name Hobbes but the males were black cats, which I didn't want. Obviously I have Lilly but I don't want to go with a flower thing so Daisy, Iris, etc are out. I've thought about Shenanigans n.n. Ginny but I'm not sold on that.
Help! Suggestions?

I can't think of anything at the moment, but she's adorable and I wanna squeeze her. :D
I went by the cat adoption center at PetSmart the other day and there was a trio of sisters named Phoebe, Piper and Pru (the sisters from Charmed). I felt bad though cuz Piper was the only one left; the others had been adopted already.

Seeing those pics makes me think of some sort of a mystic, so I'll suggest Shaman.
I doubt you'll pick that one, but it's what I would go with from those pics alone.

KITTY!!!!
Oh, yeah, name..hm. Well, you say she's inquisitive, so maybe after a hunter/seeker type figure? I'd name her Artemis, but I have a thing for Greek mythology.

Hmmm, Artemis = Diana. I could call her Annie. I'll think about that. (Would love it more if my grandma wasn't Anne and I liked her more....)

Wow. So adorable.
That's what one of my cats would have looked like, were she a tabby instead of a torbie (tortoiseshell-tabby). Said cat is named Sarai, because that's Hebrew for 'quarrelsome,' which fits her quite well. She's an argumentative and stubborn cat.
Give it a day or two. Let her personality come out as she gets truly comfortable in the new home, and use a baby names website to hunt out meanings of names. If you have a specific language or culture that you'd like to use, you can usually narrow the search.
Congrats on the fluffiness, and invest in a Furminator. With that fur, it will be a lifesaver =)

You could call her Ingobe (zulu for domestic cat) or Igola (zulu for wild cat) or Semake (northern Sotho for cat or suprise/wonder/mystery). Or even Katsana (N Sotho for small cat).

*snicker* Well, she does have the "target" on each side.....
Da morning has been rough. But Lilly got some spoiling. So I hope things calm down in a day or two.

Fido? :D
How about "Needles" for those ouchy needle-fingers I saw in the last photo?
She's a cutie!

Take my cat's original name, Aashka ( "Blessing" ). A name she lost after being home for a week and proving herself the exact opposite. Yours looks like it might actually live up to it.
Now she's Reika, written with the character for "companion". A bare definition but a subtle improvement over "What the hell are you doing?!". =p

She's giving me the same kinda vibes I get from my Mom, so I'll suggest her name.
Lorna (Doone) was picked from a book, because my grandmother is an avid reader.

How about Snafu? Or if she has to have a "y" ending name, how about Jazzy? Or Brontė

Mirada or Brittney..
I guess I'm allowed to name animals. My girlfriend won't let me name children. :-P

How bout I just steal her and save you needing to name her? :P
Second the recommendation for a Furminator, and get yours off Amazon...much cheaper than anything local most likely.
I'm not so good at naming pets, so I'll stay out of that..ehh what the heck, I second Artemis.

how about Marble, seeing as how she has so many different colors in her fur.

There's always "Damnit Cat!". Least that's what some of the ex's cats responded to eventually.
Shortly thereafter, I was banned from naming just about anything.

Yeah, she's been Munchkin but "needle claws" would be a good one too. Or HEY! OFF THE LAPTOP! (She thinks it's a game!)
The adjustment is ongoing. They've been a few feet away from each other a few times but no physical contact. Tessa will be going back in her mini-home while I'm gone today (ALL DAY!) but I might leave her out tonight.
