In the past two days (give or take about 6 hours), I've learned a few things about this Dog I was given for the night.

1) She doesn't like closed doors.

2) She doesn't bark. At least not when I could hear it. She whimpers.

3) She SNORES. Loudly.

4) She will NOT go to the bathroom anywhere at all on the property, so she MUST be taken on a walk twice a day.

5) She dislikes short leashes. Big Time. I shorted the leash when we got to a busy road and she came to a dead stop and wouldn't move again until I released the slack. The Brat.

6) She has no interest at all in the following: Vehicles, People Food, trash, toys, Orange Juice, other dogs, and slippers.

7) She does like dog treats, Maxximum Dog Chow for Adults, and being outside.

8) She likes Dawnlight walks but will take a walk whenever she can.

9) It took me one walk to get it through her head that I walk s-l-o-w. I do not run.

10) She knows what an RV is and makes a beeline for Mom and Dad's RV whenever she can.

11) She's getting used to being called "Tootsie" but still doesn't actually listen to me.

12) She's trained to hand gestures, not Spoken-Only commands.

13) She was NOT a person's Guide Dog of any sort.

14) She doesn't do furniture. As in sleep on, scratch on, look at.

That is one weird dog. No people food? Man...

Not weird...just very well trained. I tried very hard for my dogs to not beg people food, or rather the food on my plate. And what happened on the first Thanksgiving family was over? Treats from the plate and bam, training was broken and now I still get to deal with whining, complaining, and stealing of the plate.

The food thing is throwing me off big time, as when we had Kay-Cari she acted Human.

A Fuzzy One that doesn't act Human....it's a very strange experience for me.

*Leans back and looks at Dog funny*

Her former parents probably wanted her very much dog-like and so she doesn't know that she can be human-like.

Give her time.
