Hey everyone! I'm new here. I just posted this in another site and someone there (she must be a member here, I'm not sure) suggested to come post it here. I'd never heard of this site before - I'm in love! I'm sick of customers!

Okay, here goes.. this is a real good one, I think..

Okay, this lady calls in all pissed saying her phone had been deactivated and she wanted us to reactivate it.. I look into her account, and there's a loss prevention note stating that she's stolen a credit card and has been making purchases with it..

So I'm like.. "Ma'am.. when you purchased minutes for your phone.. the credit card you used, is it under your name?"

"No, it's under my fiance's name"

"Okay, let me have his name please"

"Uhhhhm... hold on.." *paper shuffling*

"Heh. You don't know your fiance's name?"

"Robert... *shuffling* Somer..ville?

"."

Needless to say, I did NOT reactivate her phone.

Lying b*tch!:D

Hah!

Any chance you managed to report her to the police etc for fraud?

I had one man call who had forgotten his wife's name. It was funny.

When I'm trying to perform an ID check on a customer, if they are not who they say they are they nearly ALWAYS slip up on the date of birth.

Asking their star sign is usually good for a giggle, or so I'm told.

Yay, people replied to my newbieish-thread!

Thanks! :)

I had this customer on the line today.

Me: Press the Menu key, please.
her: Do what now?
me: (Oh god, she's one of THOSE customers..) Press the menu key, please. It's the round one in the middle.
her: Well how do I do THAT?
me: Just PRESS IT, ma'am.
her: What, with my fingers?
me: :-|
