Went to get a few groceries tonight from a local supermarket. It was near closing time, and I was going through the express checkout. Someone came over the tannoy.

"Heh. I've heard of a tale where someone released an announcement about it being closing time and they'd just released the hungry hounds."

The chap behind the counter found this amusing. He also, rightfully, found it amusing that after I gave him the cash, he was able to give me back my debit card.

Yeah - got distracted in telling the tale so much that I ended up trying to pay two ways...

Still, I got to pimp this site.

Ok - back on topic.
At least you were attempting to pay . . .vs being distracted and start to walk away before paying.
I was at a resturant one time . . server picked up card folder . . . we spoke for a moment . . .they put my card back down as if returning it . . and walked away. I did snag them back and pay.

Shirts - every so often I get the urge to look around more potential shirt distributer, but then work calls up and gives me guaranteed overtime with guaranteed pay. It gets in the way, you know? Keep meaning to work on the comic strip prints as well.
