So, I have a young brother-in-law (10 years old) who came to visit over Christmas (with the rest of his family). He started playing with the magnetic poetry stuff my wife put up on the fridge and came up with this:
I am lightning squirrel
Feel my crashing sledgehammer
Of heroic weather
I thought it was hilarious, and it painted some great images in my head. Unfortunately, I am about as artistically inclined as an ox. I was hoping someone out there could fire up MS Paint or break out the colored pencils or something and create an image of this "lightning squirrel." I picture it as a kind of kids' superhero, especially from the descriptions and stories he made up for it after creating the "poem."
I can't offer any payment for any artwork someone might generate, but I can guarantee an excited brother-in-law if I were to email such a picture to him.
Any takers?

I know GIMP, and could try to pull something together. Not promising much, but I'll see what I can do. :)

I have Photoshop.
Give me a couple days (Or a few hours, you never know how my brain will work it out).

I've got this mental image of a squirrel posing heroically, a breeze billowing his shiny red cape with a picture of a lightning bolt on it, clutching Mjöllnir in it's tiny squirrel paws.

That's the one, Arctic. Only I don't know what the Mjöllnir looks like.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!
I bring to thee, a Creation by a Ten-Year Old, as represented by a slightly deranged 22-year old.
Happy Christmas, Kiddo.

I wish I could take credit for creating this. But I can't. I simply unleashed my vast powers of Google Fu (for I am strong with the Fu), and found this:

Don't ask....I don't know anything more than what the image shows. But damn, I am good!

Unfortunately, I read this post while I had the stylus for my Cintiq in my hand.
Now look what you've done. (http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/280/lightningsquirrelam8.jpg)

WOW- Those are fantastic.
My artistic talents involve tieing knots in yarn . . .or food.
Thank goodness their is a variety here on this site.

This is awesome, everybody! I knew this would be a good place to ask this favor! I'm going to email these to my wife's little bro (giving credit where credit is due, of course) to see what his reaction is.

I love it. Very determined and a massive sledgehammer that would require super-squirrel strength to wield.

I never even thought to Google it. You truly must be a Master Googler.

I couldn't pass up on something so utterly random as Lightning Squirrel, hehe.

Actually, yes I am. You would be amazed what I have found, and who I have found it for.
