I hate Citrix!!!! (rant)

Working from home today to be "on call" for my mom (my dad's getting back surgery today, joy) I'm on a Mac, using Citrix. Had to call IT this morn because I couldn't get my email. Citrix crashed a few times, as citrix does. Now my email icons are happily resting in my menu bar, and cannot be opened. Arrgghh. My job is all email.....thankfully I IM'd my coworker and its slow in the office.


Thank for listening to this rant, and the irony of someone as computer illiterate as me me working for a company that is all IT related :)

I hear ya. We had to use Citrix for databasing and some online programming courses. Bleh. I mean, I get what it's supposed to do and in theory it's a great tool, but as usual, theory never meets reality.

Ugh, we use Citrix for several applications including a password manager - they all suck.

I've also noticed tha tthe password manager is against our company policy - we're told not to give our passwords to anyone yet we have to give it to them.

Luckily, I was able to uninstall the PM.

My sympathies. Had it at my last job, and could be assured of many and varied horrors on any given day.

oh, I've never even used Citrix... the TMs at the call center used it though... and it was so bad that I was infected by their hatred of it... I hope to never have to use it.
