We had to put our cat down today. She was seventeen years old, and her teeth were bad and kidneys were failing. She hadn't eaten any food or drunk any water in two days, and...it was time.

We took her in when she was a stray kitten, and she gave us seventeen years of love and quiet companionship. She was beautiful, inside and out, and we miss her very much.
