So I stopped at the library on my way home yesterday to renew my books (and find out my PIN so I could do that online in the future).
I happened to notice that they were having a book sale...I knew I shouldn't go in the room...but I did it anyway. I came out with five books - 2 hardcovers and 3 paperbacks - for $8.50. (From an initial pile of about 8.)
So I was chatting with someone online and telling him about my score, and he asked what books I had, so I pulled them out again, and I noticed that one of them has a price sticker from the Strand (http://www.strandbooks.com/) bookstore in New York. I've never been there, but I think I'll leave the sticker just for the hell of it. :D
(List price $15.95, Strand price $7.97, my price - two bucks! :D)
