So I'm putzing about on the computer, not really doing anything, and I have ESPNEWS on in the background, because I'm that kind of guy.

And during commercials, I just heard an ad that made me turn around. ABC Family is promoting some movie special they have coming up, "Santa Baby 2, Christmas Maybe." Or some such fluff. Looks like it could be vaguely amusing. Or not. That wasn't the part that made me swivel my chair around.

The lead role is played by none other than Jenny McCarthy.

Yep, this family movie, produced by and aired on a family channel, stars a woman who has posed for Playboy, has been seen naked more times and by more people than Michaelangelo's Venus!

Am I the only person that sees the awesome and delicious irony in all of this?

Well funny, she's has been pretty active in the whole child rearing thing. Especally since her son was diganose with autism.

Yes, she's definitely "family-friendly" now, but I will always remember her as the girl on Singled Out (dating show back when MTV didn't suck).

Well, after all, it's not like she's been seen naked *recently,* or that ABC is at all likely to include a nude scene in their Santa movie :)

Oh, I know. But I still find it funny. It's along the same lines of that tv commercial with kids singing that Poison song, "Don't need nothing, but a good time," etc., etc. Ignoring the fact that that same song extolls the virtues of drinking and womanizing and basically being a party animal.

It's not like I think the network needs to be called on the carpet or is in the wrong or anything. I just find it hilarious, that's all.

Yah know, if they did that, I'd actually watch ABC again.
