ok ok ok I know my area doesn't get snow as bad as some of you yankees, but seriously....we've had 5 major storms since the week before christmas.

right now my back door can't open without alot of pushing cause of the snow build up, and people just COMPLETELY forget how to drive when this kinda weather hits!

....can it be spring yet?

i moved out of idaho to get away from snow. i moved to virginia where i was told it hasn't snowed in many many many years. i was told it never gets cold enough to snow.

...there are 4+ inches outside and it's still coming. they're predicting at least a foot in some areas.

i was lied to

I now rely off the Almanac.

Hate to say it, but the almanac is calling for yet another major snowstorm to pound the midwest during the second week of February.

You can forget about Spring for now.

It's snowing right now and it's messing up my plans.

I need to go out and buy new blinds/shades and draperies! I'm stuck inside with an idiot Mr. Rum whose brain seems to slip out of his head everytime he has to be stuck at home with me & Child Rum.

Plus, the main water valve is leaking in our basement (slow, not-steady-leak) and because of the weather outside, I can't get the plumber out until Monday. (He's cancelling all the appointments for today because the roads are really incredibly bad).

We had unconfirmed reports of snow here a month ago. It hasn't showed here in over 30 years before that.

It's a funky winter.

It finally snowed over here. Not looking forward to going to work tonight.

I'm really really really waiting for someone to knock on our door and say they hit one of our cars. :(

NONE of the cars slipping and sliding down the road are trucks, they're the dinky, front wheel or back wheel only cars (and I know back wheel is bad for driving in snow). *le sigh*

I just wish people would stay inside!

What could they possibly need?

As if the bread, milk, and toilet paper in all the grocery stores aren't already bought out by now.

ETA: There are more people coming and going down the street than on any other given Saturday. What is it? Peoples see snow, and then they're like: OMG! I have a bunch of food in my fridge, but it's going to snow for another 60 years so I have to run out RIGHT NOW!?

When I first read this thread, I hadn't looked outside yet and the first thing I said to myself was "SUCKS!"

Then five minutes later I looked outside and it was snowing. FML

Not to mention all the Ding Dongs, beer, fruit snacks, generic Ritz crackers, AND the McDonald's drive-thrus are fully jammed with cars to squeeze in their Big Mac meals before the world ends.

Well, I for one sincerely hope the almanac is wrong.

I am done with winter storms and winter weather in general.

Although Frosty has been going easy on us with the snow lately, he hasn't with the ice and the freezing rain.

We had a "January thaw" that lasted for almost two weeks, and the end of it was last Thursday (the 21st) when the freezing drizzle started, Friday and Saturday there was a lot of rain, and Saturday night it finally froze over into ice, then it snowed on top of it, a few inches total by that Monday.

And since the cities around here refuse to do anything about the roads, all this ice we've had all winter (going back to the ice storm this Christmas) has accumulated and stayed on most roads, the "thaw" didn't take it all away, and it only gets worse and worse when it snows on top of it.

Another foot of snow in Western North Carolina... To add to the foot and a half we got in December and the little dustings in between.

This, in an area that usually only gets about 16 inches of snow in a season.

Sigh...

Snowed out in the desert. Mama said it was bad enough out in El Paso they shut down the highway they live behind.

EQ says it snowed in NM, too!

Frakkin' winter. It was freezing this morning, too, when I left, but thankfully no snow yet. Though, if the weather stays this cold in the morning, with the forecasted rain...blech.

Whomever is praying to the Snow Gods, please make them stop!

I don't want anymore snow! *pouts*

I used to like it, but now, I'm too nervous driving/walking/looking at it. Doesn't help that Child Rum likes to play in it. But right now the stuff isn't good enough to do anything with.

I want to move to Fantasy Island.

See, I moved from snow and haven't seen it in a long while. But it's so damn freezing now that I wonder if I should just move farther south, maybe to Georgia or something. It took ten minutes for my car to become less like an ice cube so I could come home from work and get pizza.

There's like an inch of ice out on the roads in my neighborhood. Had to unfreeze my car to try and get to work...only to turn around and come home cuz it started snowing and I'm not going to try driving in all of that with unsalted roads at 10 at night for a four hour shift.

Over here we're experiencing the coldest and snowiest winter in the last 20 years, and the weather reports claim that the worst is yet to come (huge blizzard expected on Tuesday).

The kicker? Town officials didn't expect this situation in their budgets, so many cities and areas are officially run out of road salt. In one specific area even the snow plows gave up due to the massive amount of snow, so people are asked to stay inside until the snow thaws.

Or he's afraid of the snow :p

Seriously, most of the snow we got here in SW PA has melted. But, it's been cold the past few days. It was 9 F when I left for work last Friday morning. I usually don't get cold, but 9? At least today it's nice and sunny outside..

*ducks snowballs*
