As you all know this summer i was in two car accidents.

my brother was injured in one of them.

he just got his settlement for pain and suffereing and lost of work.

he thought he would get 5000 or 10000.

He is getting almost 37k.

to put that into perspective, in out area he can buy a 3 bedroom 1 bath house.

and still have 900 bucks left.

Nice job! Is that before or after fees?

Also - consider taxes with that, a lot of times it is considered taxable income (as a bonus so expect 40%-50% tax rate, maybe even higher).

after fees i think, and i think it isnt taxable, even if it is 20k of it is going into savings and possibly a CD.
