It's alright. I have 2 kids, my daughter is 4 and my son is 3. And it's spring break so we're running pretty wild all over the house. Good thing it's a slow time for my business cause I'm hardly getting anything done, lol.

Well I'm mostly self-taught. I did find some good books for beginners, but on my first few quilts I made a ton of mistakes. I still make a ton of mistakes....just not the noob ones anymore.

Aren't most people? My mom's constantly designing quilts but doesn't have time to do them. But when she does, they're kind of awesome. That's why I was asking. It might be a way to get her to do something she enjoys anyway.

also, TJ, Vox looks pretty good-- what I did for Ananda was kept in mind the character sheet and character building process outlined in most games-- set amount of 'points,' good qualities, bad qualities, what is she good at, what is she bad at... and I also referenced real people, since there's ephemeral stuff that just gets lost in the dots and numbers.
ANED: Ananda's reaction to Vox: "... hey. Wussup?" XD she's not quite sure what to make of him, which means she asks questions about what she can get, like where he's from and history of Canada-- that isn't a subject she really doesn't know much about. Stuff will probably progress from there, like "Lol death-metal huh?" and to at least friendly. That's where she wants to go with this, not sure about Vox.

Okay, here's teh's disgusting thought for the day:
what is consciousness? What is the human mind? ... is it merely the matter, or is it something else? Is is a Pattern?
/rhetorical. Short of it is, if this was a Mage game, and the character I was playing was into sick-Nazilike experiments, deconstructing the mind, spirit and life patterns would make zombies, vampires and the like just go the hell away-- which would be some mid-level Sphere work for a Prime-centric mage, but it'd assure something like Alexander not existing. Or Entropy/Prime. I doubt Ananda would ever be able to manipulate anything that's still alive that isn't her on a major scale, because it's different stuff than just matter-- and it's true that alive things have a different particle orientation than dead things (mutters, where did that series of articles go...), also the own person's will and mind plays into it at that point, their "energy" on different levels and types. (This is why she had a bad time messing with her arm.)
Then again, just making them get an anuerism is just as effective. Usually.

Well, just Alex/Alexis term Alexander a Zombie..does not mean that is what he is. Could be a different thing altogether. Technically I guess you would call him a Golem more then anything. A physical construct with another beings essence inside of it. The reason he is (so far) unkillable is that the essence can find another 'construct' and inhabit it, reforming that construct to its image.

Is it right/good/ethical to override another person's emotions? As an embodiment of free will, being able to do that seems more than slightly abusive, at the very least manipulative. And it's not something anybody would really be willing to do on a voluntary basis. So why use it at all?

Because when push comes to shove, the logic of the native mind can kick in and decide to tell you to stop/they can leave-- and if you don't give them that choice, then it's assuredly breach of free will (such as the nature of free will is).
EDIT: now, their actual thoughts and memories ... that's something else entirely. /EDIT
also, when push comes to shove, it's generally decided by humans as a species that the person who starts shit deserves what they get, especially if it's reasonable/ proportionate-- like when Ananda decided (pretty much, split second decision) that if the terrorist was intending to kill her, he'd shown no compunction killing others, then she'd be within her rights to defend herself, possibly, most likely, even fatally defend herself.

Because she learned to kill her emotions, and here's someone who is overflowing with them (her own and everyone else's). Ordinarily she wouldn't argue with someone so much, but something about Kate just really gets on her nerves. She can't NOT say something.

Maybe there's more to that. Someone who feels everything and someone who feels nothing (most of the time).

And i think these people just can't get thing through thier skulls. They know I had an abusive childhood, but they continue to make jokes about "oh I'm gonna torture you" and once in the game, they said "oh well all of the female characters are going to be taken prisoner by the bad guy and raped." The other female characters were all played buy guys and they thought this was cool. I was the only one who said that I'd rather not participate. Guess whose chacter was the only one captured and raped?

As this one can not only possess those already dead, the body it inhabits becomes undead regardless (thus hard to kill), AND Alexander can raise other dead bodies as zombie like creatures. Making it a dangerous, dangerous foe.

Mytical, Mytical, Mytical-- you'll have to get up way early in the morning to genuinely scare me as a player with an NPC as to whether one can be defeated or not-- I've been ruined forever (or educated beautifully, depending) by my current group. Which is why they're still my group after ... 5 years? Yeah.
Anyway. It's not like I won't be impressed or love the game, just... the eensy bit I posted on Lauren? Yeah, I made a bit of a hash of it-- and that's just a bit of background that my GM made up off the fly. He eats impossible for breakfast, really, and expects his players to as well. Even in more "normal" games like Werewolf and Shadowrun. Impossible and Amazing and Kick-ass-- three meals of the day.
(aaand I need to stop before making Chuck Norris-like statements. :roll: )
Anyway, don't worry, Kabe-- I need to actually go to bed before 12, so I shouldn't be on that late. :(

No worries about the 'scary' part, to me Alexander was never meant to be scary. His limitations are high. He's dangerous, but more like a roach then anything..just hard to get rid of. Anyhow, I am going to move to the next part, assuming everybody knows which area they are going..

Some sandy areas are completely sand-- rare for miles at a time, as far as I know. Some sandy areas are more like scoured rock with sand on it, like a table with a bucket of salt. Most, from what I understand, has random chunks of it, lemme see if I can find pictures.

No. Not really. See you all are mutants, will special powers..even though these guys might be able to negate that, you also have the element of surprise. You should not need special equipment, however if your character wants something, ask Johnny.

Well right now you have a lock on which is which (you seen them transform so you can track which twin is which even without powers). The one throwing the boulder would be the female, the one letting out a war cry would be the male. You can easily keep track unless something goes really wrong (without any abilities)

I do scribble a bit. I used to a lot before I started quilting. I actually have 2 huge binders filled with drawings from 2 novels I've written, and all my RP characters I've played.

Although, I haven't drawn a person in forever, so I may just draw a whole mess of animals instead of Sam.

I will update soon about the distraction team, catching up now. Basically between all the efforts of the distraction squad, all the guns that could negate powers have been taken out of the equation one way or another. Only Kat was seriously injured (currently human with a bullet in her shoulder).

Hehe I crunched some numbers..the last major threat would have been the armored vehicle..if it had made it outside to the fight, the fight would have been over..but the other way. Since the group now has just about as much time as they want, you all will figure out why soon enough. Between the effort to knock out the special weapons, or the people using them, there were none of the guns left..which mean that the regular guards would know it would be futile to go against the rest of the distraction team.

Oh and here is the thing about the special guns. Anything Ananda could do to a regular gun, she could do to the 'special' guns..the bolts that they fired are another matter entirely. No power directly works or stops the bolts (energy bolt to be specific). So it would pass through shields, etc, cause by mutant powers with ease.

Oh me either. While I will avoid throwing too heavy of things after the group, its like the dragon thing in my fantasy games. In my games, the last thing a group wants to do is tangle with a dragon. So while they might find a dragon, I don't normally attack them with dragons. If they go poke the dragon though..that is their problem..

You will find out, and since Alpha is awake you won't get any emotions from him. Even if he experiences them. Alpha is ... a special figure, and will not be staying. Powers are not effective against either Alpha or Omega..at all.
