*This may have been more absent-mindedness on the customer's part rather then being deliberately sucky, but just had to share it*

When returning her items today, one of our customers apparently felt the need to include a tampon. It was still wrapped......obviously NOT used, but still, stuff like this is why I don't much enjoy having to empty bookdrops. (always seems to be me who's on "check-in" duty when stuff like that gets dumped in)

Still wrapped? My guess is that the customer was carrying the book in her purse, and didn't notice that she'd caught the edge of the tampon wrapper when taking the book out to put it in the book drop. Hope she didn't have an "OMG - I'm sure I had a spare tampon" emergency.

True. Some books are bloody good. Others just string you along. But it doesn't matter, I just love to read, period.

Maybe it was a period piece? Or maybe it was her Aunt Flo who dropped off the book? Hopefully the borrower wasn't late.

I remember one day a woman came into our library and wanted to sit at a computer. The back of her dress was soaked from her cousin red. I could jsut imagine her staining the chairs. I told her I couldn't bump off anyone sitting just so she can sit. Ugh.

Our patron bathrooms didn't have the tampax machines, but the librarians's ladies bathroom did. One day a woman comes up to me and asks if I had a tampon. I told her I could get her one for $.50, which I did but she didnt' bother to thank me (bitch).
