Though not good news. Doctor today gave the official verdict. Biopsy showed that it was indeed testicular cancer (this was suspected, but had to wait until they removed it and biopsied it for verification), and it was Malignant. Going the 30th to see if it was all removed or not, then have to go to a cancer specialist who will test for other cancers (to be on the safe side). It is good to finally know, and not just suspect..but I can tell you I am not in a good place right now.

I can't help but wonder what I've done that is so horrible that I've been saddled with such pain and problems. Diabetes, Nash, Cancer, Cirrhosis.. Never drank (besides an occasional drink hadn't had more then 5 beers in my entire lifetime up to age 31), no drugs..stood up for people who wouldn't/couldn't themselves..treated people better then I myself want to be treated..

I know, deep down, it is nothing I did..but that is cold comfort. For those of you with bigger burdens to carry you have nothing but my respect. Ok..done whinging for now.

:( So sorry to hear that. You've been through Hell and back, it seems. Hopefully the cancer specialist has good news and says that all of the cancer was removed. Will be keeping you in my thoughts.

Damn, Mytical. Hopefully they did get all of it. And I'd say you've earned the right to whine/bitch/rant a bit. I'll be thinking about you as well, and please keep us informed.

Y'know, next time I take a road trip, I'm coming out to Ohio. Just to make sure you get a smile for a day.

Mytical, I will pray that it's all gone and you are fine now! Rant all you want. Just never think you did anything to bring this on yourself. None of us have control over the genetic hand we're dealt. Keeping good thoughts for you!

Your situation is certainly not a punishment for what you have done. You shouldn't waste thoughts on that one.
We like you and of course we want to know how you are. Update often and don't call it whining.
I hope you will get better soon.

That's not whining, Mytical, that's justifiable "The FUCK?!"
Don't give up, man. I know it's hard, but you need to keep laughing whenever you can or you start crying.
Hell, my bro had one of his removed about 2 years ago, and last weekend I was able to hold my 4 month old godson for the first time.

Keep us posted and let us know what the results of your appointment are - hopefully they found it all, but nonetheless I'm keeping my fingers crossed and saying prayers for you.

And don't you dare apologize for whinging . . .you're among family here and you have every right to vent as much as anyone else who's going through rough times.;)

Please keep hanging in there . . . we're all pulling for you.

Good luck with it - while no cancer is good, testicular cancer does have a high cure rate. As long as it hasn't spread anywhere else (and spreading isn't common with this form of cancer) you should be in the clear when this treatment is done (hopefully your treatments will go smoothly).

You have every right to vent - cancer is nothing to joke about and can be very serious (and extremely serious when you have it). Stay positive - it's been proven (well, observationally but not scientifically) that a positive attitude (and even thinking about beating the cancer) has improved healing rates.

When your treatment(s) are all done and there are no signs of it coming back you can look back and say "I beat cancer". I know a few people who have and it is a self confidence boost.

Not only that, this thread can act as a reminder for everyone to get checked / screened when they should.

For whatever comfort it's worth, Mytical, I was found to have the "silent killer" cancer (ovarian) -- two decades ago. It was a helluva shock. However, I've now lived long enough past it to wreck my blood sugar levels ...

Hang in there. We are all pulling for you!

Not really about the cancer (go tomorrow to start figuring out about that)..but lately my feet have been numb or having sharp pains again..*sighs* legs hurting bad too..though soaking them helps..for a little.

Sorry, Myt. There's nothing more I can say, though the variety of curses running through my mind pretty much say it all.

Hoping for the best.

THIS!!!
A guy friend of mine had testicular cancer in his teens, one was removed. After that, totally kosher, everything worked (wink wink nudge nudge). No sign of it at all.
And Draggar's right - you boys check your balls. JUST the balls, at least once a month. Another guy friend..I had to tell him..uh..you're lopsided down there. He hadn't checked/noticed. He went to doc, hydrocele. (water on your testicle) Easy fix!

Girls, check your girls.

Sure! But men get REALLLY defensive if you tell them, Honey, your balls have issues!
My ex didn't like it. TMI Warning, in white. One day we had fun, and I found out he was lopsided. I asked him, do you know you're lopsided in there? He said nooooo. I asked, don't you play with those??? He said noooooo. I said, well, there's something abnormal, this is a go to doctor check thing. Before the surgery to fix it, it had swollen up past a ping pong ball size. Poor guy!

He feels (hah hah) himself much better.
