This is a GWC sighting from Hubby's CW. She was at the guard house to a gated community when a car of four mostly naked people pulled up in the visitor's lane. It turned out they were playing a game where every time they saw a car with only one headlight working, they would hit the roof of the car, and the last person to hit the roof had to take off a piece of apparel.

Of course, this brings to mind a few questions:

1) I know there are always a few, but are there really that many cars driving around with one headlight that a group of four end up mostly naked this way?
2) The driver was playing along too. Did she pull over to take her clothes off, wait for a stop sign, or did she somehow manage to work her way out of her clothes while the car was still in motion?
3) So, um....who wants to play with me?

Man! I used to play that all the time in my teens. Up here we just called it "sex". Was an awesome time. Even the few times I was pulled over naked.

This brings back so many childhood memories...and so many boobs.

Never did that, but I have taken road trips from SUNY Brockport down to Long Island [Lake Ronk] with everybody but me passing around some piece of male gay porn and taking turns reading from it, complete with sound effects =)

I miss college ... =)

Yes. Or at least it seems there are an unusually high number of vehicles with a burn-out headlight this season. I see one or two every time I commute to/from work.

There are 2 main reasons why so many cars have only one headlight:

- Lazy owners
- Non-lazy owners with cars that aren't designed for simple bulb changes

My left headlight is out, and I need to retrieve a particular tool (ironically it's also known as a "headlight") from my truck in order to change it. Reason? Illumination in my building's underground garage isn't that good (in this weather, won't change it outside), and due to spacing I need to take out the battery  in order to get enough clearance to replace the bulb.

Bulb was $10 at Canadian Tire, installation would have been $28 - not worth it.

BTW, if your car takes either 9004 or 9007 bulbs, watch out - the wrong one will fit, and light up, but the beam pattern will be wrong (one has side-to-side filaments, the other has front-to-back filaments).

Mine claims to be easy but whenever I go in to have one changed my guy swears and starts bandaging his knuckles before reaching in.

Have to add a third to that list...

-the headlight goes out while driving.

First time I had to change a bulb on blue was when I was still making. 80 mile one way drive to work. I had a cop behind me and since people were coming I had my low beams on. Got to a vacant stretch and turned on my brights. Cop came level with me during a particularly deer-y stretch and we both had highs on.

He goes ahead and I drop my beans down, get a bright flash, and the red/blues come on to pull me over for missing a head light.

Headlight isn't a problem on the Echo. Hubs now has spares in the glove box if he notices it. The pain to change on that car is the brake lights. First you gotta undo the trunk's liner, then remove the boot on the dratted bulb and then pray you got it in correctly. I'd hate to have to change the turn signal on it!

Some of their friends knew what they were doing. So they got cars with one headlight out and kept driving around the block to pass them over and over.

Try swapping headlight bulb on an 04 Prius - the official procedure starts with 'remove the front bumper'. The unofficial procedure starts with 'find a mechanic with really small hands').

Sounds similar to what my dad ran into the day before Christmas Eve with my stepmom's car (2012 Chrysler 200.) He spent almost an hour at home in the garage trying to figure out how to remove the cover from the headlight before they ended up going to the local dealership. Mechanic had to remove the front bumper to get to the headlight to replace it.

I think it depends on how long they were driving and how much they were wearing at the beginning of the trip really.

You'd be amazed. We used to get cars of 4-5 people naked all the time doing this lol.

The game is called Padiddle for those who didn't know the name of it. And many people play Strip Padiddle. It is a fantastic game. And considering how many people seem to have lights out, it doesn't surprise me when a car is pretty much all naked.

If lights aren't doing it. Changing the game to red, yellow or silver cars is a sure fire way to up the ante

As I was driving home tonight there was a car coming the other way with the headlights on. All of a sudden one went out. Never seen that happen to another car before.

One of my headlights went out on the route just this morning. What does that mean for me? Should I have finished the rest of the route naked or something?
