So, one of my best friends plans to get /married/ in the future. (Within 2ish years, though no set date is made). For my birthday, he wants me to be his best man.

Now, I don't wanna /order/ or super plan anything., but does anyone know what kind of things/stuff one can do for a bachier party? Let alone one for a gay man? He's bit of a freak, so I might get a male stripper that's dressed like a fox. (He'd love it).

Sounds like you know his tastes well enough with your stripper-as-fox idea. As for the party itself, invite his friends and, as you do, ask them for some additional tips. Someone might hit on a great idea that you hadn't thought of, and that can make it more personal and fun for the bachelor.

As for what goes on at these things, I have Mr Puck's assurance that, strippers and pron notwithstanding, these are generally just "guys' night out" parties with lots of booze (if that's his thing), maybe poker or dice or some other kind of casino games, with lots of drunken "dude"-ing and "whoo!"-ing resulting in much overindulgence and the occasional "I love you, man!" :D I certainly recommend having it at a local hotel or anyplace where no one close to the man of honor has to do any cleaning up the next day. ;) Good luck!!

Depending on what exactly you all do/where you have the party- try and remember that a Designated Driver is ALWAYS a good idea.

I would advise you to make sure he wants a stripper before getting one, because sometimes the SO isn't okay with it.

But if they both give the thumbs up, go for it!

My husband said the only thing he really wanted for his bachelor party was to be able to spend time with his buddies. Its something they don't get to do as much now that everyone is married with kids.

I think on Saturdays there is a bus that runs from Portland (don't know where the pick up is) out to the McMinamins Edgefield and stays for a few hours and runs back. That would be a pretty cool bachelor party IMO, but then I'm a big fan of their beer :)

Love the beer cheese dip and homemade chips when they have it...
