  • Was that necessary?

Today I went to get gas because it's disgustingly cheap again. However, this is not a gas sighting - shocking, I know. It's actually a fast food place sighting.

To make things easier, I'm copying from my Facebook page:

Dear manager at the Burger King on [street]-

I don't what your problem was. Your attitude towards me was unacceptable, especially when I told you three times my order and didn't get upset that you still insisted on giving me someone else's order. Or that you referred to me as 'that (unintelligible) woman' and had your co-worker shut the window in my face while you were trying to get the order straight. I did nothing to you other than try to give your store money. I had no idea what you called me, but that was unnecessary.

Think twice before you start mouthing off at people.
Basically, the location was backed up. According to the cashier at the first window because of some problem in the kitchen. When I get to the second window, the second worker asks me what I have and I tell her. The manager then tries to hand me another person's order. When I tell him no, I ordered something else, he kept asking "Are you sure?" The third time I told him "Yes, would you like to see the receipt?"

That's when he had the worker close the window, but not before saying that he didn't what to deal with "that (unintelligible) woman." I finally did get my food and took a snapshot of the 800 number for the franchise. I did call and reported the manager. The woman I spoke with was not happy. She promised a gift card even though I didn't ask for anything.
    Random conversation:
Me: Okay..so I think I get why Zoro wears a bandana
    DDD: Cuz it's cool

So, by using the Doctor's reasoning, bow ties, fezzes and bandanas are cool.

There was no excuse to treat you like that. Glad you reported her.

Sounds like a former manager at the local Golden Arches we had. I stopped going to all the restaurants owned by the local franchise for years because she treated me like crap, I witnessed her treat employees like crap, and I heard other stories from friends and family where they had been treated poorly by her either as customers or employees.

Once I walked up and she asked "What do you want?" in a very annoyed tone. Another time I heard her calling her staff "useless". When Hubs was working Maint at one of the locations she transferred into, she decided to throw him on sandwich assembly and absolutely refused to train him, then fired him a couple weeks later for poor performance.

I never complained, though, because by the time she'd fired Hubs she'd been with the company for ages already (my bad experience as a customer with her had been about five years prior, and she'd been with the company at least five years prior to that). I figured if someone that bad had lasted that long, the franchise didn't give a crap about it so I simply boycotted them until she finally left.
