  • Favourite wastes of time? (low movement)

I'm laid up for another 2 weeks.

I have movement issues since a lot of movement causes my muscles to cramp and become even more achey.

Therefore I need suggestions: What are your favorite wastes of time that might well keep me amused rather than going stir crazy?

Internet preferred but open to other suggestions.
I am so SO glad I was not present for this. There would have been an unpleasant duct tape incident. - Joi

My current two addictions: Candy Crush Saga (yeah, it's an overhyped Facebook game, but it is fun) or, if you're looking for something a little (puts fingers next to each other) more intellectual, there's Words of Wonder. You can waste tons of time playing either of them.
"I look at the stars. It's a clear night and the Milky Way seems so near. That's where I'll be going soon. "We are all star stuff." I suddenly remember Delenn's line from Joe's script. Not a bad prospect. I am not afraid. In the meantime, let me close my eyes and sense the beauty around me. And take that breath under the dark sky full of stars. Breathe in. Breathe out. That's all."

I recently got addicted to Doodle God. It only costs 99c and even after you complete the various levels/quests, you can reset them and try again, so you can try to "beat" them without using hints.

I'd look at steam. All of the major games are cheaper, and it has a lot of nice, cheap indie games that are good time-sinks.

Minecraft. It'll keep you occupied for as long as you allow it to, really.

Mechwarrior Online if that is your thing. Free to play. I'm afraid to think of the time I've spent playing.
I'd tell you where to go, but I work there and I don't want to see you everyday.

Have you seen the new series A Young Doctor's Notebook yet? Daniel Radcliff plays a fresh graduate of the Imperial Medical School in Moscow in 1917 - he gets sent to a small hospital in Siberia to replace the recently deceased head Doctor. It is sort of framed by his packing up his office under the observation of the newly minted Soviet Army when he is a bit older, probably in the 1930s. Just watched the pilot episode and in a very oddly russian way it is very funny.
EVE Online: 99% of the time you sit around waiting for something to happen, but that 1% of action is what hooks people like crack, you don't get interviewed by the BBC for a WoW raid.
