Another quick retail pet peeve

Don't walk past me, saunter into the fitting rooms - completely ignoring my pleas for you to stop, have your items counter per our policy - not one, not two, but THREE times... and then have the audacity to ask me "Do you like your job? You don't look like you do."

I love my job, lady. What I don't like is fucking rude, entitled bitches like you who think they can do whatever the hell they please and then complain if the rest of us so much as have an expression.

I sympathize. My sister ran into this when she worked at Kohl's. She seemed to be the only one who enforced the five items policy.

There was one bitch that shoved a rack out of the way so she could get into the fitting room. The rack had been put there on purpose to keep people out for a while (I don't remember why). Sis told her that rack was put there for a reason. Cue cat butt face and snarky "How dare you!" comment. Sis was not impressed.

Best response to the "don't you like your job" sort of comment that I know of: Friend of mine has a rude woman who kept changing her mind and blaming my friend for not being... mind-reading enough.... Andyway, the SC came out with a comment about my friend's smile having failed to stay in place throughout and then "Don't you like you job?"

My friend immediately flashed a bright cheerful smile at the SC and announced, "Oh, I LOVE my job. It's so wonderful to work here. Every once in a while, there's a person who comes in who gets me down, but all I have to do is remind myself that they'll be leaving soon enough."
