  • Confirmed: FedEx has Flux Capacitors in their trucks

Here's the tracking history according to Amazon.

Nov 24: Package has left the facility
Sept 1: Package arrived at carrier facility
Sept 3: In transit to pickup location
Sept 3: Package arrived at carrier facility
    Sept 4: Out for delivery

So if I suddenly remember getting a package 3 months ago, this will be why. Will this count as breaking street date?

I decided to check if other orders were like this. This particular order now has a time stamp of November 26 in my home city so I should get it today. Wonder why it was necessary to take it to the past. Maybe because of recent road construction and they wanted to avoid that and travel to a time before it started.

Another order says it was placed in July, but only delivered today. Except that I've had the game for a couple months now.

      Let me guess... Smartpost?

I'm having some EPIC troubles with FedEx lately, from both a developer POV and a shipper POV. They must have recently changed their system, because everything is going pear-shaped on almost a daily basis.

Hmmm. I had something go via SmartPost, and the tracking info was all out of whack. They told me they "recycle" tracking numbers, and this was the former package. Mine eventually showed up, but the tracking info never changed.

            They recycle tracking numbers?

Not for any package I've ever sent.

But then I don't use SmartPost. So maybe that's the difference.

Maybe this is why my recent Amazon orders are all USPS-shipped...

We were just recently told at work that UPS is recycling their tracking numbers. Granted the number was one that was used 2+ years ago, but it does wreak havoc when you are trying to track a package and it shows delivered before you ever ordered!

Amazon loves our recent changes to the tracking system we have now. Of course it also means we can come down faster on those who try to use the same lable/number for multiple packages.
