  • Scam 6: This is just getting sad...

    Seriously, I could come up with something better in my sleep!


    Today's bonehead was an email telling me about some money I was due to inherit, and that some other person had come forward and said that they were my next of kin and that I had died in a car crash. Blah blah, submit your info and such to get your money.

    This is all standard stuff. Until I see this winner's email address:

    spam@*********.***

    (unimportant parts omitted)

      Lol I had a similar one trying to telling me there was a problem with my bank account.I might have paid more attention if the subject line had not started *THIS IS A SUSPICIOUS MESSAGE* Well,thanks for the heads up :P

              It's quite possible that at some point the email went through a filter that added that phrase. For example, spam email sent to my ISP tends to get marked {SPAM?} at the start of the subject (which is annoying when I need to reply to a false positive).

                That is ALMOST as good as when the phone rings and the caller ID displays:

                999-000-0000
                SPAM
