  • Weird Sleep Question

Something bizarre has been happening with my sleep patterns, and I was wondering if anyone had experience or insight into what is going on.

So if I go to bed before 10--even a minute before--I will wake up approximately 4 hours later.

If I go to bed after 10--even just a half hour later--I will wake up over 12 hours later.

I try to go to bed before 10, as it's the one that gives me less anxiety and makes me not late for school, but I do admit being frustrated having to spend several hours awake when nobody else is. Maybe I just need more online friends from the other side of the world? XP

I'm the opposite. If I go to bed before 2am, I'll sleep for 3 hours

I go to bed after 2am, I'll sleep for 6.

Only reason I use 2am, is the insomnia that comes with my medication rarely lets me sleep before then.

This article came out a couple of years ago but it is interesting on how human sleep cycles have changed and maybe not for the better. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-16964783

Time does not matter for me but, If I lay down on the day before I am off, I will not wake up until about 12 to 18 hours later. Even several days in a row this will happen.

I never have trouble though on the nights before I work, I will only sleep 8 hours then.
I might be crazy, but I'm not Insane.

What? You don't play with flamethrowers on the weekends? You are strange.

It could just be your circadian rhythm. However, I would have you look at what you're consuming before bed. You should avoid caffeine after 6pm, and limit fluids as well.
They say that God only gives us what we can handle. Apparently, God thinks I'm a bad ass.
