I am "just barely " old enough to see the end of the steam era. Most were gone by the time I was old enough to remember. Sadly the only ones I have seen "live" was in RR museums.

We have the Pere Marquette here and the Huckleberry Railroad. The Pere Marquette makes fairly regular runs in the spring and summer. I'm also pretty closed to Cleveland and I think they may have a steam engine there...but I'm not sure.
