  • More bad neighbors

Our neighbors, or their friends or whatever were hauled off the night before last in an ambulance. Apparently someone OD on Meth or something.

They had come over earlier and asked for foil. I didn't think about it we use a shit ton of foil around here. But I gave them what little bit I had left til payday. Could not have been more than one or two sheets. They offered to bring me over one of their breakfast burritos. I am not a burrito person so I said no thanks. Plus I know they just went to the food pantry (they told us) so I don't feel right eating their food.

Hubby says what probably happened is since the main lease holder is out of town, they let their drug buddy back in and he decided he was gonna make a one pot still of meth and it went badly. I have no idea what any of that means except the it went badly part. I figured that out from the firetrucks and ambulance lol.

Anyway our landlord which is the same as theirs, showed up and gave them notice to leave. Did I mention the guy who is actually renting it, was gone out of town and came back to all this nonsense?

They have lived in the house maybe 3 weeks or 4 weeks. They moved in March something.

Hubby seems to think the landlord will stop by here tomorrow and see what we knew about the neighbors.

I have only spoken to them a few times. Either cause they were borrowing something, or because the one guy wanted to know if he could have a fire pit in city limits. (The answer is no) but they decided hell with rules and permits and landlord permissions. Lets just start the yard on fire. Which they did. And let it burn for a few hours.

I feel bad cause the one guy who is on the lease is trying to get his kids back from his exwife who put him behind bars from aggravated assault for a year or two. (He says it was a trumped charge ) and something like this will keep that from happening.

This may sound a bit harsh, but I'd be rather inclined to judge the man by the company he keeps (or in this case shares his house with). By the sound of it, his kids might be better off not with him.

      THIS.

That man may be an angel, but his children run the risk of serious damage in the presence of those "friends".

It sounds like drug friend may have been cooking up meth using the "shake and bake" method, which is notoriously prone to exploding in your face. If you don't "cook" just right, mishaps occur.

If so, landlord is pissed because the house is now contaminated with hazardous chemicals, and will require expensive specialty cleanup.

Good thing you refused the breakfast burrito.

          Crazy meth heads.

Remember when we had heroin addicts that would just quietly go to sleep without blowing up the neighbourhood?

I have a feeling this thread would be better suited over on Fratching.
