Citation help needed for a web article

I have to write a small discussion post for an online class and this is the link I'm using. It's from Ohio State University so I think it's reliable but I so far have not been able to find any information so that I can cite it. Any ideas? What am I not seeing here?

This site saved my life this semester, if you copy and paste the web link into the web page tab, the site is pretty good about puling the pertinent info and making it into a citation. the have MLA 6 and 7, chicago/turbian, and APA

yeah, I tried that but it didn't like the article either. I did end up sort of manually cobbling together a citation based on some rules from the Purdue OWL site. I don't think it really matters for this assignment since it isn't a paper or anything, I think the teacher just wants my classmates to be able to read the article if they want. I might e-mail her though in case I run across something similar when it really counts.

So, presuming APA, you'd want something like this:

Chinese history. (n.d.). Retrieved from http://people.cohums.ohio-state.edu/...02chinese.html.

Now, if you can fill in some of the blanks, like the author or an editor, then add them by all means.

Yeah, that's a slightly different format, but info's generally the same. I do a lot more APA edits at the moment, so that's my default

Little hint: if the topic in question is one that is taken by a number of different degrees (ie a sociology topic being taken by psychology, education, arts etc.), see if they'll allow different referencing styles. I remember that my sociology (and to some extent my political) profs all allowed us to use different styles for referencing as long as it had all the required information. About 90% of us used footnotes, the only exception I had was one prof who demanded that we use in-text referencing (which was a PITA) and then for my education degree, it was consistent across the board.

A teacher who allows multiple forms of citation in a single paper is setting himself up for a world of hurt for grading purposes. Why bother to cite at all?

In text citation is a hall mark of APA. Yes, it is a PITA. I prefer Turabian myself, but it's not used in nursing

Oh I know. I just get more APA papers to edit than the others, so I can do that format off the top of my head XD

Basically, as long as you used a format that clearly cited everything, the tutors didn't care about whether you had your references listed on the bottom of each page or in-text.
