  • There's probably a reason he's not answering her calls.

This was told to me by my coworker yesterday.

During her shift a lady called worried abut her boyfriend. According to the caller, the boyfriend drank way too much alcohol and wanted to call and check if he was OK. My coworker confirmed that he was indeed fine, and he didn't even smell of alcohol.

Later on, the crazy lady shows up at the hotel. She calls the boyfriend's number and systematically listens to each room door to see if she could hear the phone ringing. Naturally, my coworker asks her to leave. Crazy lady says it's her right to be here and threatens to call the cops. She follows through with the threat. Cops show up, checks on the room, then asks the crazy lady to leave.

So yeah, there's a reason he's ignoring her, I just can't seem to place my finger on it though.

This is so far beyond stalking it's frightening. A restraining order on somebody's part is definitely in order!

      oops.

Alcohol business sounds made up to me - Crazy Lady wanted to find out if "boyfriend" was there at all - which CW confirmed.
That aside, where do people come up with these "rights?" The EWness of if-it's-something-I-want-to-do-it's-a-right continues to astound me despite the growing prevalence of that attitude.

The "listen at every room" trick probably wouldn't work anyway - if I were him, I'd have blocked her number. It would NEVER ring for her.

Hell, I could change Rob's ringtone from the 688I general quarters alarm to the android ring and he would never realize it was his number ringing in.

She was probably listening for 'her' ringtone. Though I agree, by the time I had to hide in a hotel, I would definitely be blocking the number and having it roll directly into voice mail.

I saw this so often at the motel. I would refuse to give out a room number, and whoever would pull out a phone and call the person. If the other person picked up, I would hear the caller say something along the lines of "B*tch, where the f**k are you?....Where are you?....F**king b*tch I'm at the desk just tell me where you are!"

I heard so many iterations of that. Gee, I wonder why they don't want to give out their location?
