Shantae is "The 1/2 Genie", a character in a couple of games that I never heard about until recently. I've watched some playthroughs and would love to be able to play them, but I digress. This video has a good song, and good representation of the stages of animation that Shantae has undergone. There is a kickstarter for a new game (I think that may be over though), I am hoping somebody will make walthrough videos of it to see how the new game comes out.

Gaijin Goomba has released a video trying to determine where Shantae's games take place. It's interesting how many styles of belly dancing there are.

The proper kickstarter is over, but Wayforward is still doing contributions through Paypal (Link here). They recently hit the Hero Mode stretch goal (list is here) and the devs have said extra content like the bonus chapters might become DLC later on but if the stretch goals are hit they will be implemented for launch.

And I've been listening to the song a fair bit lately funny bit of timing there.
