  • ...what?

Saturday morning. I'm a bit sleep-deprived from the last 2 days (dayshift on Thursday, then back for the overnight--which I didn't think they could do--then out and around on Friday helping mom); I was actually 30 minutes late but nobody noticed.

P is throwing stock and tells me to jump in; nothing about tags left over. I forget to ask, and assume that if he didn't say anything there are none left...or at least nothing important.

Manager P [P1] sees me on SCO and asks what I'm doing. Um...SCO? The morning person called out and I'm the only one who's 'free' and can run it (being scheduled as a 'file clerk' means that you do anything).

P1: "Did you finish the tags?"
Me: "P didn't say anything to me about more tags, and neither did [GM manager]. Did you ask P if he had any upstairs?" *aren't YOU in charge of that?*
P1 just stands there and stares...and stares. Meanwhile one of the SCOs is blinking for help, and it's a favorite customer who I like to help quickly.
    P1: *stare*
    Me:
Finally, P1 says in a very flat, vaguely creepy tone: "Were you trying to be sarcastic?"
    Me: *wait...what?!* Er...
P1: "So how did that work for you?"

Huh? If I was trying to be sarcastic, you'd know.

If they're both full (8-hour) shifts, it may not be legal. If shorter, well...Hrm. Check local laws either way.

My overnight is always 8 hours (only one of which fell on Thursday). The Thursday AM shift was supposed to be 6, but turned into just shy of 8 because of various ineptness. I think the only requirement is 8 hours between shifts, which technically I did get.

I believe so, yeah. Not sure if the duration of the shifts themselves is actually mentioned in the laws.
