Pop quiz time!
You call a business/company and get a recorded message instructing you to press a certain button for different departments. Do you:
1) Press the appropriate button for your query?
2) Press random button hoping the phone system can read your mind?
3) Hang up and dial the fax number instead?
If you did number 3, then you have joined the mighty ranks of my customers who are too stupid to operate a telephone, let alone the locks I install for them.
On average, I get at least 2 calls a day doing that, and several others who do number 2. It really does drive me nuts, especially after I went to all the trouble of actually setting the phones up myself to try and make it easier for customers to get hold of me.
There is another one that drives me insane as well. I have automatic call forwarding if no one answers at the office to forward the call to my mobile. This is done within my phone system, so doesn't cost them anything but about 1 minute of time while it happens, but they still insist on hanging up and calling the fax line, and then my mobile after having the fax scream in their ear.
