Witnessed this exchanged a couple weeks ago...a woman went to the service desk with a half-gallon of ice cream...
Ice Cream Lady: "I want to return this for a refund."
CW: Ok, is something wrong with it, or...?"
ICL: "You're damn right! It's got all kinds of CRAP in it!"
CW goes to open the carton to see what's "in" it.
ICL: "Poly-tri-glycerides (or something like that)!! That's a CARCINOGEN!!"
CW was but went ahead and processed the refund. For some reason, we have to have refunded customers sign a slip, and when CW politely asked this lady to sign, the lady swiped the paper across the desk and screamed "Like Hell, I will! You try to sell me CANCER-CAUSING CHEMICALS and you want me to sign something? What are you trying to pull!??"
And away she stormed.
I can understand being conscious of what ingredients are in the food you buy, but uh, maybe check the label before you purchase it? And really, the clerks at the store are NOT responsible for what you purchase or what ingredients may be in it.
On a related note, today I had a woman yelling at me because a frozen dinner that she had picked up had 360 grams of sodium. "REALLY??" she yelled at me "it says Low-Fat, HOW can there be so much sodium in it??"
Like I know? Like I care?
Thank you, have a nice day. C U Next Time
