This sighting comes from my husband, who works as a porter at a parking garage for a parking company.
On of his duties is to issue parking violations.
A parking violation can be issued for parking in a non-designated parking spot, parking outside the lines or parking in a handicapped spot but not displaying any proof that you are handicapped.
Customers who have contract parking can get a violation for not following the rules.
Apparently there was a contract parker who continued to park in a spot that was not an actual parking despite the fact that he had already received violations for doing that. At one point my husband had the pleasure of dealing with the contract parker face to face. One day while my husband was writing another violation for the same contract parker, that person walked up to my husband.
Here is what happened.
contract parker *pissed off* Why are you writing me a ticket?
husband: Because your car is parked in a spot that is not supposed to be used as a parking spot
contract parker *still pissed off* But I have been parking in this spot for 5 years. No one has issued me a ticket before. I should not get a ticket.
husband: I am sorry, but I have to issue you a ticket. This is not a parking spot.
contract parker *now really pissed off* Fine... I will send your supervisor a complaint letter. I should not be receiving a ticket.
husband: Ok... you can do that. Have a nice day.
Apparently this particular contract parker has sent the parking companies corporate office several complaint e-mails regarding issues... small and big
The following day the contract parker parked in the exact same spot. So my husband wrote down his license plate number and went to the main office. After a customer has received *x* amount of parking tickets, the main office prints out a warning that states... If you continue to park in this spot, your car will be towed.
That warning was place on the contract parkers car. He never parked in that spot again.
