How many days are in December?

I was training a new transfer at my store (going from deli to bakery.) Now in the bakery we have a price gun that puts a price and a date on the items. I picked up a large pumpkin pie with the date that caught my attention. I turned to my trainee and said "do you see anything wrong with this pie?" She looked at it and was trying to see if it was moldy, or burned, but couldn't find it. So I clarified "do you see anything wrong with the DATE?" She looks at the date which said "December 34th, 2014" and burst out laughing. She starts singing the "30 days hath September" rhyme, where I substituted "except for December which has 34." Also, I said "you know, when leap year adds 3 days to December?" After a long day you need some levity

April may... and, no wonder all the rest drink peanut butter.

This is the same creature who would tell her innocent children "The Story of the Pea Little Thrigs and the Wag Wad Bolf.!"
