Surfing this forum, I mean.
So what's happening is this week, my department has been getting their asses handed to them. There were some changes that caused new traffic and while most of the time it's simple, when it's not simple it takes a half-hour, minimum. So my queue has been in the red. It's a call centre environment.
So they offered OT. I took OT because I work from home and don't have kids. So now I sit, making double time and posting on the forums because there are 13 of us and 8 are idle.
I'd say my company is crazy for not offering OT cancellation, but I think I know what they're up to. They're trying to raise the overall stats for the week by having at least two days in the green. So I am massively overpaid. YAY!
Good times were had by all.
